All Dancers cast in any project will be expected to:

    • Attend at least 2 technique classes per week. Technique classes are provided through SGDC to you as part of your membership perks. Dancers who are students in the university dance program or attending a local school or studio that provides advanced technique classes may consider those classes as fullfilling this requirement. By nature of being monolateral, learning and rehearsing choreography can create imbalances in the body which can lead to injury if the dancer does not take care to strengthen and stretch the body symmetrically in technique classes. This 2 class policy is to take care of YOU the dancer.
    • Keep timely communication with Artistic and Exectutive directors of the project in regards to rehearsal schedule availability.
    • Be present and warming up at least 15 minutes before their called rehearsal times. Dancers should be ready to work at the beginning of a given rehearsal.
    • Spread the word about the shows by following and sharing posts on social media, distrubuting posters/fliers, inviting friends and family, and possibly participating in promotional videos/interviews.
    • Possibly participating in company photoshoots
    • Be a positive team member - coming to rehearsals ready to create and have fun!
