    Junior League of Jackson Year 2027-2028
  • Thank you for your interest in partnering with the Junior League of Jackson (JLJ) to use our volunteer and financial resources to help improve the lives of children and youth in our community. JLJ endorses a Community Impact Model for selecting and evaluating its community projects. This model requires JLJ to identify a small number of critical community needs and to place its volunteers and project funds exclusively or primarily in those areas to maximize JLJ's effectiveness in improving the community. Our three impact areas point to one common goal: To support children, youth, and their caregivers in the Jackson area to increase student success.  
     
    JLJ has identified the following community needs, which will be used for selecting projects for the 2027-2028 League year:

    If your Proposed Project addresses one or more of these needs, we look forward to considering a partnership with your organization. If you have more than one Proposed Project, please submit a separate and complete application form for each. All Proposed Projects must begin no earlier than June 1, 2027, and conclude no later than May 31, 2028.

  • Where will the Proposed Project activities take place?

  • JLJ projects must begin no earlier than June 1, 2026, and end no later than May 31, 2027.

In calculating your figure, keep in mind (1) any preparation time, (2) your Proposed Project timeline and list of Proposed Project activities to be completed by JLJ volunteers, (3) that each Proposed Project must have a minimum of five JLJ volunteers to be considered, and (4) that each JLJ volunteer will work approximately 35-50 hours on the Proposed Project.

  • PROPOSED PROJECT BUDGET

  • When completing your budget, please keep in mind that JLJ does not pay ongoing salaries, stipends, or administrative and overhead costs. However, JLJ funds may be used for guest speakers, etc., hired specifically for the Proposed Project.   • UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES

  • JLJ understands that circumstances may change dramatically between the time your application is submitted and the start of the 2026-2027 JLJ year and expects there will be open communication regarding your organization's current circumstances, JLJ volunteer's ability to participate in your Proposed Project, and any other relevant factors about which JLJ should be aware. Indicate whether you agree to provide JLJ with electronic notice of any material changes to your organization that may affect the scope of your Proposed Project or impact JLJ's ability to participate in the Proposed Project.*
  • MANDATORY PROJECT EVALUATION

    All selected projects will be required to complete a comprehensive evaluation at the project’s end to measure community impact, including an exit interview between JLJ and the Community Partner.

  • JLJ will finalize the Project Package for the 2027-2028 League year in February 2026. You will be notified of JLJ's decision regarding this Proposed Project via email by February 27, 2027.
