Thank you for your interest in joining us as a Safety Monitor or Rally Captain!
Role of Safety Monitors
- Help keep people on the sidewalk
- Be on the lookout for any situation of harassment or potential disruption and report it to the Point People.
- Identify any signs or chants that the organizers do not endorse and alert the point people.
- Do not engage any counter-demonstrator, argue or allow them to provoke us. Raise any concerns with the point people.
- If there is a health incident, one person stays with the injured person while another calls the Point Person.
- Refer all media requests to Media Liasion.
Role of Rally Captain
- Organize a crew of 2-4 family and friends to join us.
- Coordinate wearing the campaign colors (red, yellow, teal) with your group.
- Consider hosting a sign making party the day before with your crew!
- Hold on to the safety plan materials for your crew.
