1. Purpose of Program
The Doggie Day Trip program allows approved volunteers to take adoptable shelter dogs on supervised outings to provide enrichment, exercise, and socialization.
2. Volunteer Acknowledgment
I understand and agree that:
- I am participating voluntarily and without compensation.
- Dogs may behave unpredictably, and there is always a risk of injury to myself, others, or property.
- I will follow all safety guidelines provided by the shelter staff.
3. Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge that interacting with animals carries inherent risks, including but not limited to bites, scratches, sudden movements, or exposure to allergens. I accept full responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during the outing.
4. Release of Liability
In consideration for being allowed to participate, I hereby release and hold harmless Texoma Dog Ranch Rescue, its staff, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising from my participation in the Doggie Day Trip program.
5. Care & Conduct
I agree to:
- Keep the dog leashed at all times unless in a designated, secure area.
- Never leave the dog unattended in a vehicle or public space.
- Provide fresh water and rest breaks as needed.
- Immediately report any incidents, injuries, or lost dogs to shelter staff.
6. Photo & Media Release(optional)
I grant permission for photos or videos taken during the outing to be used for promotional purposes by Texoma Dog Ranch Rescue.

Texoma Dog Ranch Rescue Doggie Day Trip Rules
Texoma Dog Ranch Rescue’s Doggie Day Trip program lets you spend a full day with an adoptable shelter dog, giving them quality time, exercise, and socialization outside the shelter.
Key rules and requirements
- Age requirement: Must at least 18 years old
- Leash requirement: The dog mustremain on a leash at all times and be held by an adult during the trip.
- Separation from other pets: The dog must be kept separate from personal pets and other dogs you encounter.
- No commitment: There is no obligation beyond spending the day together.
- Supplies: Texoma Dog Ranch Rescuewill provide a leash and any other necessary supplies;
- Location flexibility: You can take the dog to parks, downtown areas, your home, or any other dog-friendly spot you choose.
- Application: You must complete an online application before participating.
Purpose of the program
The trips are designed to help shelter dogs adjust to everyday environments, build confidence, and meet new people, while also giving participants a chance to bond with a dog in a relaxed setting. Doggie Day trips are between the hours of 9-2.
