  • Surf Life Saving Queensland Education have an exciting opportunity for QLD Drone Facilitators to join our team! This is the ideal opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive contribution to SLSQ training and education, in the delivery of the QLD Drone Operator program (volunteer only) to the following regions;

    • North Queensland
    • North Barrier
    • Wide Bay Capricorn
    • Sunshine Coast
    • Gold Coast (South Coast Branch and Point Danger Branch)

    In this role you will:
    - Facilitate engaging QLD Drone Operator programs for club members
    - Ensure learner engagement and achievement of learning outcomes for all candidates
    - Comply with SLSQ Education delivery and assessment guides
    - Be a positive role model to all candidates and conduct yourself in a manner that is beneficial to the Surf Life Saving movement.

    CRITERIA FOR BECOMING A QLD DRONE FACILITATOR IF YOU HOLD RePL

    - TAESS00029 – Volunteer Trainer Delivery Skill Set (or equivalent) AND TAESS00019 Assessor skill set (or equivalent), OR

    - TAE40122 (or TAE40116, or TAE40110) – Cert IV in Training and Assessment

    - Hold a current relevant driver’s licence

    - Hold the Drone Operator Award

    - Hold a RePL sub7kgs minimum qualification

    - Have a minimum of 20 hours flying in excluded or included categories – must produce flight logs.

    - Queensland Working with Children - Blue Card and have completed SLSQ CYRM/ SLSA CSA

     

    Successful Candidates will be required to:
    - Attend an induction workshop (dates and locations TBA)
    - Work under supervision until you are deemed competent
    - Attend an annual workshop to maintain currency
