Thank you for your interest in the Assistant (Dental Surgery Assistant) role at Toothie.
This form is part of our initial screening stage. Its purpose is to collect basic information, confirm eligibility, and help you understand the nature of the role before proceeding further.
To give you a clear picture of the role, this position involves hands-on, patient-facing clinical work in a dental clinic setting. You will assist chairside, support patient safety, help with chaperone duties when required, and follow infection-control procedures carefully. The role involves regular movement during clinic hours, use of appropriate PPE, and working around dental equipment, X-ray equipment, and clinical materials. While the role is mainly clinical and patient-facing, it also includes routine documentation and record-keeping to support patient records, clinic operations, and daily workflow organisation. Occasionally, you may need to stay beyond scheduled hours when patient treatment is ongoing and cannot be safely interrupted.
Applicants who understand the role requirements and wish to proceed may continue to the next stage of our selection process.
The next stage is a structured assessment, which forms the primary interview and evaluation stage for this role. Rather than relying only on an informal conversational interview, Toothie uses a structured assessment process to evaluate applicants more consistently and fairly.
After you complete the structured assessment, your submission will be reviewed by the clinic. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted regarding the outcome or next steps. Candidates who are not shortlisted may not receive individual feedback unless otherwise stated.
