Our Space:
Non-profit organizations and educational institutions are invited to schedule the space at no cost, reinforcing HCA’s commitment to community access and creative education. Independent artists are also welcome to participate and may reserve the space for a small, accessible fee, helping to support the ongoing maintenance and programming of the Resource Center.
The space is intended for works on paper hung with push pin tacking or framing.
Our Rules and Contract Items:
The rental contract will be sent to you for review after checking your space request dates. To view the contract ahead of time, go back to our rental page.
- The use of confetti, glitter, rice, birdseed, or rose petals is prohibited.
- The renter is not allowed to attach decorations to the walls, ceilings, woodwork, or any other property inside or outside of the building.
- Open flames are not permitted anywhere in or around the building.
- Smoking is not allowed in or on the HCA property.
- Pets are not allowed (unless they are a service animal).
- The renter or guests are not allowed to have firearms or other weapons on the property.
- No alcohol can be served at our location without vendor approval. We recommend TimBec2 or Best Winery for any alcohol served.
ARTWORK LIABILITY
Agreement for artworks in exhibition:
Whereas, the Harrison County Arts is displaying art or having an exhibition; and
whereas, the artist/owner of the artworks to be displayed desires to participate in the gallery or art exhibition; and whereas, the artist/owner of the artworks to be displayed, participation is mutually beneficial to both the artist and Harrison County Arts; The parties do hereby agree as follows: The artist/owner of the artwork(s) to be displayed in the Harrison County Arts gallery or exhibition, will not hold Harrison County Arts, its Board of Directors or Executive Director, Gallery Manager, its agents, the facility displaying the art or the facility displaying the art’s owners, board, agents and directors, responsible for damages or theft of artworks displayed. Harrison County Arts will take reasonable precaution for the care and handling of artworks while on display in the gallery or exhibition.
AGREEMENT
Permission to reproduce works for publicity is considered granted. Every reasonable effort will be made to protect the safety of all works.
