The 2026 Canby Independence Day Celebration will be held downtown on Saturday, July 4th. Aside from its well established, popular Car Show, this event features a classic, small-town parade, a street fair featuring food and beverage merchants, arts and craft retailers, live music, and children's activities. This time-honored, family friendly event brings people of all ages from Canby citizens and visitors to experience a true, small-town Independence Day. This long-established event traditionally brings thousands of people from Canby and beyond.

Date: Saturday, July 4th, 2026
Location: On Grant Street between 4th and 6th Avenues, and along 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue (see attached map); registration opens at 7:00 AM and closes at 9:00AM.
(IF YOU ARE ALSO DRIVING IN THE PARADE, you must register from 7:00 AM 9:00 AM and line up before 9:30 AM. Immediately following parade, you may enter car show area.)

Each registration includes a commemorative dash plaque. There is a fee $25 for any returned check.

By signing and dating below, the undersigned ("Participant") represents and warrants the Participant has read, understands, and is voluntarily and knowingly agreeing to each of the following:

1. Participant has reviewed and agrees to comply with the Canby Independence Day Celebration, Canby Business, and City of Canby registration requirements in seeking admission to the Canby Independence Day Celebration.

2. Participant agrees to allow employees, representatives, and agents of the City of Canby and Canby Business to: take photographs and videos of Participant, its employees, representatives, and agents during the event; to edit the photographs and videos; and to publish the photographs and videos in any medium worldwide for future City of Canby and Canby Business marketing purposes. Participant releases any interest it may hold in such photographs and videos and waives any right it may have to compensation or royalties for or from such photographs and videos.

1. Participant and Participant's personal and business property are not insured by Canby's Independence Day Celebration, Canby Business, and City of Canby. Participant is solely responsible for any injuries Participant incurs or causes and any property damages Participant incurs or causes in connection with Canby's Independence Day Celebration.

2. In exchange for permission to participate in Canby's Independence Day Celebration, Participant agrees to indemnify, defend, release, forever discharge, and hold harmless Canby's Independence Day Celebration, Canby Business, and City of Canby, all sponsoring organizations and the directors, officers, employees, agents, and volunteers of each of them, from any responsibility, liability, claims, suits, actions, losses, costs (including attorney fees), expenses or damages of any kind, arising out or related to Participant's participation or involvement in Canby's Independence Day Celebration.

3. This includes but is not limited to special, direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages for injuries of any kind, including but not limited to loss of life or limbs, loss of personal or business income, damages to real or personal property, or any other loss whether or not it was reasonably foreseeable.

4. Neither Participant, nor anyone acting on the Participant's behalf, will bring or maintain any suit or action in any court or other forum or otherwise assert a claim against Canby's Independence Day Celebration, Canby Business, and City of Canby, its directors, officers, agents, employees, or volunteers for any claim that Participant might have arising out of Participant's participation or involvement in Canby's Independence Day Celebration.

The City of Canby reserves the right to refuse Participant participation. Violations of the rules may result in removal from the event. By signing below, I agree to the above requirements.

Registration: Day of Registration is encouraged. Pick up your car show space number at the Registration Booth located on NW 5^th Avenue between Holly and Grant from 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM.

Awards: The Car Show Award Ceremony will take place on the Gazebo stage located in Wait Park where first place prizes will be presented. If chosen, you must be present to receive your award.

Parade Participants: If you would like to participate in the parade, you must fill out a parade registration form as well. These may be found on the event website at www.CanbyIndependenceDay.com.

1. All cars must be in-place by 9:00 AM (parade participants may re-enter car show area immediately following parade on NW 5^th and Holly Street)
2. You must have a space number (picked up from the Registration Booth) to participate in the car show.
3. Signed waiver forms are required for each car show entry. Children under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian sign for them.
4. Cars may not change assigned spaces without permission from staff.
5. Car show participants must not sell items of any kind.
6. The contact person is responsible for any clean-up required following the event.
7. HAVE FUN!!

Each entry MUST have a space number to participate in the car show—which will be provided at the registration booth on the day of the event. Place the number on the RIGHT side of your vehicle so the judges can easily see it.

The location of the car show will be T-shape, along NW 5^th Avenue and Grant Street between NW 4^th Avenue and NW 6^th Avenues. Parking spaces will be designated by volunteers on a first come, first serve basis. The ONLY entry point will be at the intersection of 5^th Avenue and Holly Street. Car Show entries will be judged and trophies will be awarded for each category, as well as a People's Choice. Awards will be presented during the Canby Independence Day Celebration.

The Registration Booth will be located on NW 5^th Avenue and Holly Street. Come here first to pick up your car show space number. Enter the following address into your GPS to get you close: 201 NW 5^th Avenue, Canby, OR 97013. Please see attached map for more details.

From I-5 North: Take the Canby/Hubbard exit off the freeway and enter Canby on Knights Bridge Road. Turn right on N Holly St, then turn right on 5^th Avenue. The registration booth will be clearly marked.

From I-5 South: Take the Donald/Champoeg exit, turn right on Ehlen Road and proceed to Aurora. Turn left at the traffic light onto Hwy 99E. In Canby, turn left on Ivy Street, and follow until you reach NW 5^th Avenue. Proceed 2 blocks to the check-in booth.

From South Hwy 99E: Turn left on Ivy Street, proceed to 5^th Avenue and turn left. Proceed 2 blocks to the check-in booth.

From North Hwy 99E: Turn right on Ivy Street, proceed to NW 5^th Avenue and turn left. Proceed 2 blocks to the check-in booth.

Please note closed streets during the Independence Day Celebration.
