Trauma & the Body: A Gathering with Dr. Aimie Apigian

A Book Gathering and Conversation on The Biology of Trauma®

Join physician and author Dr. Aimie Apigian for a small gathering for conversation on trauma and its impact and manifestations in the body.

I'm going to be in Calgary speaking at the AAND Conference and hosting a small gathering on Saturday, June 6, for those who are local.

We will lead with a discussion and have an hour of conversation about shared insights on trauma and the body. I will answer questions on The Biology of Trauma, and certainly sign books for those who want to bring their copy.

It's a small group, and I'm being intentional about who's in the room.

    Who This Is For

    This gathering is open to:

    • Therapists, coaches, and helping professionals

    • Yoga instructors and mindfulness teachers

    • Health coaches and nutritionists

    • Somatic, bodywork, and movement practitioners

    • Self-help individuals familiar with Dr. Aimie’s work and courses

    • Physicians and health practitioners interested in trauma-informed approaches

You do not need any prior training in my work, nor need to have read the book —just curiosity and a desire to go deeper

    About Dr. Aimie Apigian

Dr. Aimie Apigian, MD, MS, MPH is a double board-certified physician and USA TODAY bestselling author of The Biology of Trauma with a foreword by Gabor Maté, MD.  Speaker, educator, and podcast host, she studies how to educate on the integrative approach needed to address unresolved trauma and its impact on one’s health, specifically.  Starting residency in general surgery and now an addiction and preventive medicine physician, Dr. Aimie uses the science to combine multiple modalities into an effective roadmap that can be precise, personalized, and paced for each individual. Her why goes back to her personal experiences of being a foster and adoptive mom, and then her own grief, triggering chronic fatigue and autoimmunity. Her passion is to translate science into hope through practical tools and skills for repair.
