BioMedEdu 2026 High School Symposium Registration & Required Consents
Participation Options
All students are required to register with parental consent. Students may participate as either presenters or attendees.

Symposium Abstract-Presenter
Registration$150 (Early Bird through May 25)
Regular $195 by June 25 | Late $235 by July 15 if space is available
Submit an abstract and/or infographic. All submissions are reviewed and may be selected for poster (online or poster board display), lightning talk, or oral presentation.
Students selected for poster presentations for research abstract will be responsible for printing their own posters. Guidance will be provided.

Students who wish to present may:
Submit an abstract for consideration for:
Oral presentation
Lightning talk
Poster presentation (Virtual or Physical Poster)
Submit a final infographic project (for selected ASPIRATION students who complete the program and develop an infographic), with mentor approval.
All submissions will receive review and may be selected for presentation.

Location: University of Houston
All high school students are welcome. Abstract submission is not required to participate.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Registration fees are generally non-refundable, as programs are planned in advance and space is reserved. Families are encouraged to review schedules carefully before registering.
In special circumstances, a credit or partial refund (minus a $30 administrative fee or 20%, whichever is greater) may be considered if written cancellation is received at least two weeks prior to the applicable deadline.
For example:
General symposium registration:
Cancellation requests must be received at least two weeks prior to the event date.
Abstract presenter registration:
Cancellation requests must be received at least two weeks prior to the selected submission deadline (June 25 or July 15, 2026).
Abstract submissions:
Once an abstract has been submitted or the applicable two-week cancellation window has passed (June 11 or July 1, respectively), the abstract submission portion is non-refundable.
Absence & Missed Sessions
No refunds or credits will be provided for missed sessions due to personal scheduling conflicts, illness, or other circumstances.
Program Changes
BioMedEdu reserves the right to make adjustments to the program schedule, instructors, or format as needed. If a program is canceled by BioMedEdu, a full refund or credit will be issued.
