Introduction
South Dublin County Public Participation Network (PPN) is delighted to invite members to register for our upcoming Linkage Group meetings in Sept 2026.
What are Linkage Groups?
Linkage Groups are specific-purpose sub-groups of the PPN that bring together members with a shared interest in a particular policy area.
They provide an opportunity for PPN members to collectively discuss issues, share experiences and expertise, and have a meaningful input into and influence on local policy.
They also provide a space for member organisations to connect with others, identify shared concerns and explore opportunities for collaboration and shared action.
What are the themes?
The SDC PPN Linkage Groups are organised around three key thematic areas:
- Social Inclusion, Housing and Equality
- Community, Enterprise, Tourism, Sports & Arts
- Climate Action, Environment, Transport and Planning
When will the Linkage Groups meet?
The Linkage Groups will hold meetings from 7.00pm to 8.30pm in the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel on the following dates:
- Monday 14 September: Social Inclusion, Housing and Equality
- Tuesday 15 September: Community, Enterprise, Tourism, Sports & Arts
- Wednesday 16 September: Climate Action, Environment, Transport and Planning
Do I need to attend all of these meetings!?
No! We would suggest you or a representative of your organisation choose the meeting that most closely reflects the work and priorities of your organisation and come along.
What do we want to achieve at Round 3?
Round 3 is an opportunity for members to:
- Review the draft priorities and actions
- Tell us what is missing
- Suggest changes or new actions
- Identify which issues should be prioritised
- Explore what actions members can realistically work on together
- Identify potential partners and organisations to engage with
- Discuss how the Linkage Groups can support PPN Representatives in their advocacy work
- Agree the next steps for the Linkage Groups
