Assistance League Chicagoland West awards scholarships of $2500 to students with demonstrated financial need who are enrolled, or planning to enroll, in a degree or certificate program at the College of DuPage. In addition to financial need, the selection process is based on academic merit and commitment to the student's course of study. The funds are deposited into a student's COD account to be used for tuition, fees, books, and required supplies. All applicants must provide at least one reference to be considered for a scholarship.
Current COD students:
- Must be in good standing with a GPA of 2.5 or above.
- Must have completed a minimum of 9 credit hours towards the degree or certificate program in which they are currently enrolled.
Applicants who are not currently enrolled at COD must be 21 or older, have a high school diploma or GED, and want to improve their career options through a degree or certificate program at COD.
Scholarships are handled through the Financial Aid Office at COD who will distribute funds as needed. The scholarship money is placed into the scholarship recipient's account and will remain there provided that the student remains in good standing. Any unused portion of awarded funds will be returned to ALCW if funds remain after the student completes their degree or certificate, transfers to another college, or drops out.
Members of ALCW and their relatives are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
The deadline for submitting an application to be considered for a scholarship starting in the FALL semester is June 15, 2026.
To apply, complete the application below. You will be required to upload a FAFSA Submission Summary and any Financial Aid Award Letter(s) received from COD. If you are currently enrolled at COD, or have previously been enrolled there, you will also be required to upload a transcript.
