Ecologist in Training Workshop Series - Aquatic Sampling: Discover the Creatures of the North Head of Long Pond

In this workshop, we will explore the techniques for sampling aquatic fish, shellfish, and insects. Using methods such as seine netting, fish traps, and dip nets we will collect, photograph, and measure species observed. The Linda Loring Nature Foundation has been sampling aquatic species in the North Head of Long Pond since 2021. This hands-on workshop will highlight what we know so far, and demonstrate the skills and tools used in this type of research and monitoring.
