  • Eligibility

    • All participants must be currently-enrolled students in a medical imaging or radiation therapy program (all imaging programs are acceptable regardless of modality)
    • All participants must be current Student Members of the CSRT
    • The poster must be the original work of the student or student group
      • If posters are submitted by a group, the group will share any prize won.
    • Participants can only submit one poster for consideration.
      • If a student submits as part of a group, they will not be eligible for an individual submission.
    • Educational programs can have multiple submissions from individual students or student groups

  • What category is your poster?*
  • Informational Papers (Literature Reviews and Case Studies)

    • Intended to educate the reader/viewer on a relevant topic
      • Examples would be a literature review or a case study
    • Topics could include disease or disease process, key radiographic principle, an emerging technology, etc.
    • The poster MUST include the following sections:
      • Title
      • Purpose
      • Findings
      • Conclusion
      • References
    • Posters cannot be a 'cut and paste' from sources
    • Informational posters should not be solely written material. Graphs, tables, or figures must be included
    • All sources (including images) shall be appropriately cited
      • At least 5 references are required, in APA format (7th ed.)
  • Investigational Papers (Original Research conducted by the Student or Student Group)

    • Intended to share original research or results of an experiment conducted by the presenter(s)
    • The posters MUST include the following sections:
      • Title
      • Abstract/Introduction (w/ hypothesis, research question, or objectives)
      • Research Review/Background
      • Methodology
      • Results
      • Conclusion and Directions for Future Research
      • References
    • Posters cannot be a ‘cut and pasted’ version of an original research paper
    • Research papers shall be reformatted to read as a poster and should contain some type of visual/image display
    • Investigational posters should not be solely written material. Graphs, tables, or figures must be included
    • All sources (including images) shall be appropriately cited
      • At least 3 references are required, in APA format (7th ed.)
  • Poster Upload Recommendations

    • Please upload your poster as a single-page PDF in 16:9 widescreen format
    • No animated graphics allowed
    • Ensure the .jpeg file is of high-quality resolution prior to submission
    • Upload two versions of the poster
      • One that displays your name and your educational program (used for display at the conference)
      • One that does not display your name and your educational program (used for the judge's scoring)

  • Judging

    • Posters will be scored by the CSRT Student Poster Committee in time for the Annual Conference
    • Awards will be announced and given to the recipients at the Annual Conference
    • Multiple judges individually evaluate each poster utilizing the CSRT poster rubric pertaining to the appropriate poster category (Informational or Investigational)
    • Judges’ scores are averaged to rate the Grand Champion (1st place) and Reserve Champion (2nd place)
    • A “people’s choice” award will also be given, based on voting at the Annual Conference
    • This will not require the rubric and is a representation of the conference attendees’ favorite poster overall
