Ethics could be about choosing between right and wrong, but it is often about navigating the gray areas where two "rights" conflict. This interactive training moves beyond dry recitations of code and dives into the complex ethical dilemmas today’s social service professionals face. Participants will engage with evidence-based frameworks to sharpen their professional judgment, manage boundaries in the digital age, and ensure their practice remains rooted in integrity, even under pressure.
This training will include common language in ethics, decision-making models, core practice standards, professional responsibilities, information regarding work-related stress and secondary traumatic stress, and self-care.
Objectives:
1. Review core terms related to ethics and ethical decision making.
2. Consideration of and application of ethical decision-making in mock scenarios..
3. Impact of work on the professional and importance of health and self-care .
