• K-12 Tuition Assistance 2026-2027 School Year

    How to Apply for Tuition Assistance:

    • Complete the entire application
    • Submit it at the same time as the first page of your 2025 tax return (Form 1040)
    • Incomplete applications will not be processed 

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • Your child MUST be enrolled in an in-person program for which you are seeking tuition assistance.
    • Online or cyber school students are not eligible 

    Important Dates:

    • Applications are open June 1 – June 30 only
    • Award decisions are shared by email or mail in early August
    • Payments are sent directly to the school in September or October 

    Volunteer Requirement:

    • Families who receive assistance must complete 5 hours of volunteer service per child with The Learning Lamp
    • If this requirement is not completed, you will not be eligible to apply next year
    • Volunteer hours are tracked and monitored 

    Applicants residing in The Learning Lamp's primary service area of Cambria, Somerset, and Bedford counties receive first consideration.
