    Position Type: Full-time (Hybrid, In-Person and Online)

    35 hours/week commitment required

    Starting Date: May 11th, 2026

    Location: Maternal Minds Office (330 Bronte St. S, Unit 201, Milton)

    The Government of Canada funded this job through the Canada Summer Jobs program.

    • Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada.

    Role: Women’s Program Coordinator
    We are seeking a Women’s Program Coordinator to support initiatives that empower Muslim women in our community. The ideal youth candidate will understand the diverse lived experiences of Muslim women and be able to support their intersecting needs. To ensure success, youth hired will receive one-on-one mentoring and supervision throughout the summer. Comprehensive training will be provided by the Program Director and Lead Coordinator, enabling youth to develop practical skills in program coordination, outreach, and community engagement. This role offers meaningful work experience and the development of transferable skills applicable to future roles in social services and community work.

     

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Assist with planning and promoting women’s programs
    • Coordinate schedules, bookings, and facilitator communication
    • Support participant outreach and onboarding
    • Manage intake forms, surveys, and participant tracking
    • Connect participants to community resources
    • Support partnerships and community initiatives

     

    Role: Social Media Coordinator

    The Social Media Coordinator at Maternal Minds will play a key role in strengthening our digital presence, fostering meaningful community engagement, and promoting our mission of supporting Muslim families. This position is ideal for a creative youth passionate about storytelling, mental health advocacy, and connecting with communities through digital platforms.

     

    Key Roles and Responsibilities

    • Manage social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp)
    • Create graphics, posts, stories, and short-form videos
    • Develop and maintain a content calendar
    • Capture photos/videos at events
    • Edit reels and promotional content
    • Track engagement and social media analytics

     

    Role: Intake Worker - Social Services

    We are seeking a compassionate and motivated youth to join our team as an Intake Worker. As the first point of contact for individuals seeking access to our support programs, the Intake Worker plays a central role in welcoming clients, assessing their needs, and guiding them through the intake and referral process. This position requires strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, empathy, and a commitment to helping individuals—particularly Muslim mothers in our community—access the programs and resources they need.

     

    Key Roles and Responsibilities

    • Conduct participant intake and assess needs
    • Provide information about programs and services
    • Support intake forms and documentation
    • Maintain confidential client records
    • Connect participants to community resources
    • Conduct follow-ups and ongoing support
