WSLHA Graduate Student Scholarship
Application
The Washington Speech-Language-Hearing Association (WSLHA) offers one scholarship award of at least $500 to a selected WSLHA Student Member who will be, or is currently, attending an advanced degree program for speech-language pathology, communication sciences and disorders, communicative disorders, or audiology at an accredited university program with the intent to practice in WA state after graduation. The recipient will be determined at the September WSLHA board meeting and the winner will be announced shortly thereafter. The recipient will be recognized during the Annual WSLHA Business Meeting and in subsequent WSLHA publications.
Application Process
Completed applications (including letters of recommendation) must be received by August 1st. If the applicant is an in-coming first-year graduate student, a copy of a letter of acceptance from an accredited graduate program must accompany the application. Incomplete applications will not be eligible for consideration.
The WSLHA Honors and Awards Committee evaluates applicants for scholarships solely on the information provided in the application packet submitted by the applicant. When information and/or documentation are incomplete, the Honors and Awards Committee must reject the application. All eligible applications will be rated by the Honors and Awards Committee based on the criteria listed below. The highest-scoring applicant will be selected to receive the financial award.
We encourage all to apply.
