Indianapolis-Cologne Youth Leadership Exchange Application
The Indianapolis-Cologne Sister City Committee in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of International and Latino Affairs is seeking four emerging young leaders (ages 18–26) to represent Indianapolis in the 2026 Colonia – Our Future City Youth Exchange in Cologne, one of Indianapolis’ sister cities.

Selected delegates will engage in:
- Youth civic leadership dialogue
- Intercultural exchange
- European cooperation discussions
- Workshops on political participation and solidarity-building
- Relationship building with young leaders from seven international partner cities
Participants will serve as youth ambassadors for Indianapolis.

Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be 18–26 years old
- Live, work, or study in the Indianapolis area
- Demonstrate leadership potential and civic/community engagement
- Be comfortable participating in English in an international setting
- Be available August 16–23, 2026
- Have current passport and appropriate documentation to travel internationally
