Terms and Conditions for Eligibility for Award:
In order for the application to be considered, all of the following must be included:
Letter of recommendation from (non-family). Example principal and community leaders, etc. Letters must be on recommenders official letterhead.
Autobiography composed by the applicant.
Compose a 500 word typed essay. Answer the following questions in your essay:
1. Describe an experience from your past that greatly impacted your life.
2. How did this occurrence help shape the person you are today?
3. What expectations do you have for your collegiate experience and in what way do you think it will affect your life?
4. How will the scholarship help you with your studies?
High school candidates must possess at least a 2.75 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
All information will be kept in the strictest of confidence.
Incomplete applications will not be processed.
ADO reserves the right to verify all information submitted and may disqualify applicants if discrepancies are identified. ADO will also disqualify applicants for plagiarism.
Everything with an asterisk (*) on this application is required and must be completed to submit the form.
The scholarship is meant for the wards/widows of Gorkha community regardless of their Profession/ background and who are prospective candidates for any of the disciplines.
Sitting members of the ADO Scholarship committee are ineligible to receive this award.
This application form must be completed in full and submitted by the deadline for each semester.
Note: All information will be kept in the strictest of confidence.
Please include two letters of recommendation:
One letter from a school administrator on official letterhead focusing on the academic strengths and potential of the applicant.
One letter from a community leader focusing on the integrity and character of the applicant.

Applicants for consideration in receiving a $250-$2000 scholarship from Alpha Delta Omega are based on character, integrity, initiative, conduct, School/Community Activities, financial need, academic, achievement and scholastic aptitude. None of these criteria is entitled to any greater consideration than any other.
