Mitchell Road Christian Academy’s Extended Day Eaglets (EDE) program and After Care Eagles (ACE) program are designed to support MRCA families by providing a safe, nurturing, and enjoyable after-school environment for students in K3 through 8th grade.

The EDE and ACE programs will be available on all full school days, starting with the first full day of school and continuing through the last full day. The programs will not operate on half-days, special event days, snow days, school holidays, or on days with early dismissals due to inclement weather or other emergency conditions.

Extended Day Eaglets serves K3 and K4 students.

Available until 3:00 p.m., Monday-Thursday and until 1:30 pm on Friday for working parents.
- If your child arrives at school after 10:00 am, they are not eligible to attend EDE that afternoon.
- Students who are signed out before EDE begins at 12:00 noon, may not return to attend EDE later that day.
After lunch and clean-up, children will enjoy outdoor play (weather permitting), followed by a rest period. The afternoon includes indoor activities such as learning centers, games, PBS programming, G-rated movies and much more.

After Care Eagles serves Kindergarten–8th grade students.

Available until 5:30 pm, Monday-Thursday for children of working parents.
- If your child arrives at school after 11:15 am, they are not eligible to attend ACE that afternoon.
- Students who are signed out of school after 1:30 pm are not permitted to attend ACE that day.
Children will enjoy outdoor play on the playground (weather permitting), followed by snack time in the lunchroom provided by ACE. The afternoon includes indoor play and activities, with a special Movie Day (G or PG) every Friday.
If you have multiple children attending ACE, all children must be picked up at the same time.

REGISTRATION FEE

There is a non-refundable, one-time $40 registration fee per family. Families with more than one child enrolled in EDE or ACE will receive a 20% discount on the rates listed below for each additional child. All EDE and ACE fees will be invoiced through FACTS.

SCHEDULING CHANGES

The weekly schedule you select for your child during registration, along with the corresponding fees, will remain in effect for the entire school year. However, schedule changes may be made quarterly by emailing afterschool@mitchellroadchristian.org before the following adjustment deadlines:

Adjustment Deadline #1: October 9
Adjustment Deadline #2: December 18
Adjustment Deadline #3: March 12

Please be sure to contact us before the applicable deadline so both the schedule and monthly EDE/ACE charges can be updated in time for the start of the next quarter. Once modified, the new schedule will remain in effect for the rest of the school year unless another change is requested before the next deadline.

EDE and ACE do not permit swapping attendance days. Your child(ren) may attend only on the day(s) for which they are registered. If you would like your child(ren) to attend either program on a different day, please email afterschool@mitchellroadchristian.org before the stated adjustment deadlines to request a schedule change.

MONTHLY RATES FOR EXTENDED DAY EAGLETS AND AFTER CARE EAGLES

Tuition is based on 9 monthly payments (September through May), with three adjustment dates available for schedule modifications.

You will be charged for the days you register your child(ren) regardless of attendance. If your child does not attend the program for which they are registered for 10 consecutive school days, they will be removed from the program, and their spot will be offered to the next student on the waitlist.

A late pick-up fee of $1.00 per minute will be charged for any child picked up after the designated time selected on the registration form.
