Bathing the Buddha Dharma Service
據《普曜經》載，悉達多太子降誕人間，九龍以香水浴聖尊。太子長大後出家修行，最終開悟成為釋迦牟尼佛。後世佛教徒為慶祝教主佛陀的誕生，於農曆四月八日舉行浴佛法會。除了慶祝佛陀的降誕，佛弟子更藉由浴佛來洗滌自心的貪瞋癡。
北卡佛光山將於5月24日(星期日)上午10:00舉行浴佛法會，法會結束後至下午5:00開放浴佛，歡迎大家闔家蒞臨，一起慶祝這個人天歡喜的節日。
今年浴佛法會將有獻供的儀式，歡迎大眾登記參加。當天您可穿著正式的服裝在法會前，親自將自己的供養呈獻給佛陀。獻供時，當用真誠懇切、感恩的心來敬上禮下，祈請佛菩薩加持。法會結束後，常住備有豐盛的午齋與大眾結緣，歡迎闔府蒞臨！

香供養 : 心神安寧，身體潔淨，三業清淨，多聞妙法。 塗供養 : 身體芬芳，沒有病痛，手足柔軟，皮膚色美。
茶供養 : 口齒芳香，身心清淨，遠離煩惱，人緣良好。 食供養 : 壽命綿長，相貌莊嚴，身心安樂，辯才無礙。
花供養 : 處事如花，見者歡喜，身常香潔，歡喜真理。 寶供養 : 事業圓滿，內心明亮，所有安全，不遭破壞。

According to the Puyao Sutra, when Prince Siddhartha was born, nine dragons bathed him with fragrant water. Later, he renounced worldly life, attained enlightenment, and became Shakyamuni Buddha.
To honor the Buddha’s birth, Buddhists observe the Bathing Buddha Ceremony on the eighth day of the fourth lunar month. It is also a time to cleanse the mind of greed, anger, and ignorance. Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple, North Carolina will hold the Bathing Buddha Dharma Service on Sunday, May 24, at 10:00 AM, with Bathing Buddha open until 5:00 PM. Families and friends are warmly invited to join this joyful celebration.
This year’s event also includes an Offering Ceremony. Participants may wear formal attire and personally present offerings to the Buddha with sincerity and gratitude. After the service, a vegetarian lunch will be served for all attendees. We warmly welcome you and your family.
