Toi MAHARA Young Artists Exhibition 2026

Toi MAHARA, the Kāpiti Coast District Gallery, invites you to submit artwork to be selected for the second Toi MAHARA Young Artists Exhibition.

Up to 50 entries will be selected and exhibited in Te Manawa Toi | Coastlands Gallery from November 2026 until February 2027.

Eligible work:

Original artwork in any medium, completed between September 2025 and September 2026.
Artists must be 13–18 years of age and living, working or studying in the Kāpiti District (as defined by Council boundaries).
One entry per artist may be submitted.
Media may include carving, ceramics, digital, drawing, jewellery, AV & moving image, painting, photography, print-making, sculpture, textiles, wearable art, weaving.
A small number of AI-generated artworks will be considered for a separate display within the 2026 Toi MAHARA Young Artists Exhibition
