    Introduction
  • This Candidate Nomination Form is for use by Member Federations to nominate candidates for election to positions on the World Boxing Executive Board at the 2026 Congress in Panama.

    You, the candidate, are responsible for completing the Candidate Nomination Form. The Member Federation is responsible for submitting the nomination and certifying that it has approved the nomination and that the information provided is accurate and complete.

    World Boxing plays an important role in leading and developing the sport globally. It is therefore important that Members are able to understand each candidate’s experience, capability and judgement when making their decisions.

    The information you provide in this Candidate Nomination Form will be used to assess your eligibility and suitability, and to assist Members in considering your candidature.

    This Candidate Nomination Form is to be completed and submitted by the Member Federation, including the Candidate and Member Federation Checklists at the end of the form. It must not be submitted directly by you as the candidate.

    This Candidate Nomination Form must be completed electronically and submitted online by the nominating MF.   Mailed versions and versions submitted via social media platforms will not be accepted.

    The closing date for nominations is 1 August 2026 at 24:00 UTC.

    CANDIDATES AND MEMBER FEDERATIONS TAKE NOTE:

    The submission of the Candidate Nomination Form and of campaigning during the Campaign Period does not guarantee that a candidate will be entitled to stand for election at the Congress.  All candidates must be declared eligible to stand for election by the Vetting Panel in the first instance and then have their Candidate Nomination Forms approved by the Ethics Committee.

     

    Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, and the candidate photo, for all candidates who have been declared eligible by the Vetting Panel, will be published on the World Boxing website on 2 September 2026.

    All communications about this Candidate Nomination Form and the election process should be sent to elections@worldboxing.org.

    The Candidate after filling in the form should save the form and when saving the form, click on "Get Draft Link". This link should then be transmitted by email to the Member Federation which can continue their part before submitting it to World Boxing. Only the member federation should submit it to World Boxing. After the submission of the form by the Member Federation the candidate and the member federation will get a confirmation email.

    15.1 Ethics Committee review (form and process)

    The Ethics Committee will review the Candidate Nomination Form to confirm that it is complete and compliant with the requirements of this form and the applicable Rules.

    This review relates to the Candidate Nomination Form and process only. It does not determine the candidate’s eligibility.

    If the Candidate Nomination Form contains a minor error, omission or unclear information, it may be returned to the Member Federation for correction, clarification or completion within a specified timeframe.

    If factual issues or concerns are identified, the matter may be referred or dealt with in accordance with the applicable Rules and procedures.

    15.2 Vetting Panel assessment (eligibility)

    The Vetting Panel is responsible for determining whether a candidate meets the eligibility requirements under the World Boxing Statutes and applicable Rules.

    The Candidate Nomination Form and the information provided in it may be made available to the Vetting Panel for the purposes of its assessment.

    The Vetting Panel’s assessment is separate from, and not dependent on, the Ethics Committee’s review of the Candidate Nomination Form.

    Only the Vetting Panel determines eligibility.

    If the Vetting Panel determines that the candidate does not meet the eligibility requirements, the nomination will not proceed.

    15.3 Outcome and notification

    The candidate and the Member Federation will be notified of the outcome of the review and vetting processes, or if further information is required at any stage.

    A nomination will only proceed if the candidate is confirmed as eligible by the Vetting Panel and the nomination form is complete and compliant.
