• Benjamin R. Lacy Volunteer of the Year Award Nomination 2026

  • In 2008, the Greater Richmond Bar Foundation established the Benjamin R. Lacy Volunteer of the Year Award, to recognize volunteers dedicated to pro bono service for the nonprofit sector. Since then, GRBF has expanded the scope of the award to recognize pro bono efforts on a broader scale. Candidates for this award should meet the following criteria:(1) Be a legal professional, law student, or attorney of good standing with laudable professionalism and personal character(2) Demonstrate commitment to provide pro bono legal services or to support the provision of such services(3) Actively volunteer with any Central Virginia or statewide legal service provider or organized pro bono program.
