  • Learn to make tsumami-zaiku with ITA certified instructor, Angel Weber. This workshop includes materials and instruction for making a pair of cherry blossom hair pins from silk habotai, as well as a presentation on the history of tsumami-zaiku, a display of tsumami-zaiku works from Japan, and an exhibition of new works created by the instructor.

    Please join us in the JCCH Honouliuli Education Center (1st Floor) for a Kanzashi Making for Beginners Workshop with Angel Weber on Saturday, June 13, 2026. 

    There will be two sessions offered: 10:00 - 11:30 AM and 12:00 - 1:30 PM.

    The $60 workshop includes:

    • All workshop materials
    • Tsumami-zaiku presentation
    • Live demonstration and hands-on instruction by Angel Weber
    • Make and take a pair of silk habotai cherry blossom hair pins 
    • Open to participants ages 12 years old and older
