    Thank you for your interest in displaying your work at Ipswich Library Bookshop gallery Summer Art Exhibition. This is a juried show as space is limited. Ipswich Art Association members free, non-members $15.00 at time of art drop off.

    Important Info:

    Book Shop Gallery Summer Art Exhibition

    Theme: Liberty

    What does freedom or liberty look like to you? We are looking for local artists to explore, celebrate, and delve deep into the concept of liberty in honor of our country’s 250th celebration of Independence Day.

    Dimensions: works should not exceed 12x12 inches framed
    Requirements: All work must be framed and /or wired and ready to hang
    Pricing: we ask artists to price their own work between $100-250, artist agrees to donate 50% or more of sale to the Friends of the Ipswich Public Library, donation can be made via cash, check, or online electronically, please make note of the gallery on donations.


    Submission deadline: 6/7/26
    Drop off: Wednesday 6/24/26 4-7pm at the Ipswich Public Library please have a copy of your signed release

    Opening Reception: Friday 6/26/26 5-7pm at the Ipswich Public Library

    ARTISTS WILL BE NOTIFED OF ACCEPTANCES
     
    DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS
    The acceptance notification will have liability form which must be signed and brought with drop off. There must be artist info secured to back of piece. 

    All work must be delivered and picked up on date/time stated - no exceptions.

    We strongly encourage all participating artists to attend and spread the word of the opening via socal media and email. Please follow The Friends of the Ipswich Library and the Ipswich Public Library on Instagram and tag us. Any posts of you work and we will likewise.

  • 1) The Artist acknowledges and agrees that Ipswich Public Library and the Ipswich Art Association (IAA) are not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to the artwork, however caused, while the artwork is on Town Hall premises.


    2) The Artist understands that the artwork will not be insured by Ipswich Public Library or the IAA. The Artist is solely responsible for securing any desired insurance coverage.


    3) The IAA will not receive any commission for items sold while hanging in the exhibit. All sales arrangements must be made directly between the Artist and the buyer.


    4) Ipswich Public Librarhy staff will not be involved in, nor responsible for, pricing, handling, transporting, or selling the artwork at any time.


    5) The Artist agrees that payment from sales will be made to Ipswich Public Library and artist will be paid through Friends Of Ipswich Library. Ipswich Library will handle all sales, communications, payment arrangements, and delivery of sold artwork independently.


    6) The Artist agrees to deliver and pick up their artwork during the designated drop‑off and pick‑up windows. Artwork not retrieved by the stated deadline may be removed or stored at the Artist’s risk. Neither the IAA nor Hall Haskell House accepts responsibility for unclaimed artwork.


    7) The Artist releases, indemnifies, and holds harmless Ipswich Public Library, the Town of Ipswich, and the IAA, including their officers, employees, and volunteers, from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of participation in this exhibit.


    8) The Artist agrees that submission of artwork for this exhibit constitutes acceptance of all terms listed in this waiver.
