Event Dates: May 1 – May 3, 2026
Location: Saltsburg, PA
This Release of Liability (the "Agreement") is executed by the undersigned (the "Participant") in favor of Meander More, its organizers, volunteers, and landowners (collectively, the "Released Parties").
1. Voluntary Participation
The Participant acknowledges that they are voluntarily participating in the Canal Campout, which includes, but is not limited to, camping, outdoor cooking, hiking, and various community activities.
2. Assumption of Risk
The Participant understands that outdoor activities involve inherent risks, including:
Natural Hazards: Weather changes, uneven terrain, water hazards (canal/river access), and wildlife.
Physical Activity: Risks associated with camping, manual labor, or group games.
Equipment: Risks involving the use of personal or provided camping gear, fires, and cooking equipment.
The Participant expressly assumes all risks of injury, illness, or property damage associated with these activities.
3. Waiver and Release of Liability
The Participant hereby releases and forever discharges the Released Parties from any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, which arise or may hereafter arise from the Participant’s involvement in the Canal Campout. This includes, without limitation, liability for bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death, or property damage.
4. Media and Promotion Release
The Participant understands that the Canal Campout is a recorded event. By signing below, the Participant grants the Released Parties the right to:
Record the Participant's likeness and voice via photography and video.
Use, edit, and distribute such media for any purpose, including social media, YouTube, marketing, and commercial production, without further compensation or approval.
5. Medical Treatment
The Participant hereby releases and forever discharges the Released Parties from any claim whatsoever which arises or may hereafter arise on account of any first aid, treatment, or service rendered in connection with the Participant's activities during the event.
6. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
