Welcome to Black Family Fun Night (BFFN) – Spring 2026 Session
Black Family Fun Night is a recreation and wellness program designed to create a safe, inclusive, and culturally affirming space for children ages 5–12 of African, Caribbean, and Black descent to connect, grow, and thrive. We also welcome families who value and respect this space and the community it is designed to support.
As we celebrate our fifth year of programming, this 5-week session (May 5 – June 2, 2026) will offer two program streams running at the same time and at the same location:
Sports & Recreation Program (Erin Mills Middle School)
A structured, high-energy program focused on basketball skills and drills, game play, and athletic development. Hosted by Coach Marvin and supported by Jumpstart leadership-trained youth coaches, participants will build confidence, teamwork, and leadership through sport, with a strong emphasis on skill progression, discipline, and personal growth.
Art & Wellness Program (Erin Mills Middle School)
A smaller, creative space focused on art, self-expression, confidence-building, and wellness activities in a more relaxed and supportive environment.
Participants can choose the program that best fits their interests and comfort level.
