The 11th Street Bridge Park (a project of the Ward 8 non-profit Building Bridges Across the River) invites residents, Ward 8 business owners and thought leaders to join us for Anacostia in Focus: Data and Insights on the Anacostia Business Environment, an unveiling of a brand new commissioned report of business and land ownership patterns, indicators of speculative activity and future trends that will shape east of the river neighborhoods. This work is supported by Wells Fargo who will kickoff the program with remarks on their investments in the community.
What to Expect:
- Presentation of key findings from ResliNC of the Anacostia business database and vulnerability assessment report
- Remarks from WACIF, DC Bar Pro Bono Center, Building Bridges Across the River and Preservation of Affordable Housing on their work supporting local businesses as part of the Wells Fargo “Seed to Storefront” initiative
- An impactful discussion between the Anacostia Business Improvement District and the DC Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development
