ELIGIBILITY:
This award is open to all graduate students seeking Master’s, Specialist, or Doctoral degrees. Also, graduate students pursuing professional degrees such as a JD(law), MD (medical) and PharmD (pharmacy) may apply for this scholarship. PharmD applicants must have earned a B.S. degree or completed the 3rd professional year of pharmacy school.
Students must be currently enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited educational institution in the state of Florida, or must attach documentation of being a graduate of a Leon County High School if enrolled in a graduate program elsewhere. The prospective recipient must satisfy the following requirements:
1. Must be a United States Citizen.
2. Have completed one semester/term of graduate/professional studies.
3. Submit an OFFICIAL transcript to verify a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
4. Provide a record of volunteer or community service hours completed within the last
3 years and a letter of recommendation, with the original signature, from the person
who supervised the volunteer work or community service.
5. Submit a second signed letter of recommendation, with the original signature, from a
major professor, advisor, or graduate faculty member.
6. Demonstrate effective communication skills in a written essay (see requirements below).
