• Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Security Information for National Lighthouse Day on August 7, 2026 or International Lighthouse and Lightship Weekend on August 15, 2026.

    Thank you for your interest in joining us for one of our major lighthouse day celebrations this year! Since the lighthouse is located on the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, you'll need to submit personal information so the Space Force can approve your attendance. You will need to meet at the Sands Space History Center before 9:30 when the caravan will leave. You will visit the lighthouse and the Space Force Museum's Annex at Hangar C. You will be finished by 11:30, but you will be unable to leave prior. You will be provided all details about the visit after you submit this form. Please be aware that you will be put on a wait list until all visitors in your party have registered using this form. Spaces fill up quickly, so please ensure everyone in your party completes the registration process as soon as possible so you can claim your spot.

  • Tour Requirements

    You must agree to the following requirements in order to tour the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse because it is located on the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station:

    1. You must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident (Green Card).  US Work Visa holders are not permitted.

    2. All adults must provide their Social Security number, Driver's License number (or State ID) and date of birth in advance.  Minors need only provide name and date of birth.

    3. All drivers must provide vehicle identifying information.

    4. No concealed firearms are allowed on station.

    5. Climbing the lighthouse is restricted to the first 5 floors.

    6. Footwear for climbing must be closed toed shoes or shoes with backstraps (no flip flops or high heals).

    7. Children must be at least 48" tall to climb.

    8. No photographs may be taken except at designated historic tour stops.
