At the Washington County Farm Bureau, we understand the impact of hard work and sweat equity that is required to make a lasting impact in our community. For over 90 years, the Washington County Farm Bureau has offered programs and services in the county to inform, strengthen, and develop the agricultural industry. We continue that same mission today by investing time and resources to improve the economic well-being of agriculture and enrich the quality of our rural way of life. Despite our best efforts, we realize that we cannot meet all the needs in Washington County by ourselves. This is why we created the Community Impact Grant Program.

There are many great ideas for community-based projects which, unfortunately, do not become a reality. This project seeks to identify the various ideas to improve our community, and to create partnerships with groups and individuals to make those ideas become a reality.

• Grant proposals will be accepted from May 1, 2026 - July 31, 2026
• Proposals for the Community Impact Grants must be submitted using this form.
• Proposals must be submitted by an organization or by an individual on behalf of a sponsoring organization. Examples of organizations can be: schools, churches, FFA chapters, 4-H clubs, civic organizations, etc.
• The submitting organization must be based in Washington County or have operations within Washington County.
• The Washington County Farm Bureau is committing up to $7,500 to this program for 2026. There are no restrictions on the dollar amount you request. However, this grant should be considered a partnership between the Farm Bureau and the submitting organization. It is not designed to cover all expenses related to the project.
• Projects that have a lasting impact will be favored over those with a short-term impact.
• Expenses such as staff salaries, mileage, staff meals, gifts, and postage are not eligible for reimbursement through this grant program.
• Organizations that have received grant funding in the prior year can reapply for consideration with a new or unique project. However, priority will be given to organizations that did not receive funding the prior year.
• Grant award notification will be given in August 2026. The deadline to complete the project is December 31, 2026.
• Receipts for expenses must be submitted no later than January 12, 2027 to receive reimbursement. Check presentations will be made in February 2027.

I also understand, that the Washington County Farm Bureau will retain this application indefinitely, and will deem the information contained in this document as confidential to all people, except those authorized to evaluate this application for purposes of awarding the grant. On behalf of my heirs, assigns, and legal representatives, I hereby release and forever discharge the Washington County Farm Bureau, any and all of their affiliated organizations, parents, subsidiaries, successors, assigns, directors, officers, agents, managers, members and employees from any and all claims, demands, actions or causes of action, including injury, death or damage to property, which may occur during or as a result of completion of this community project. I assume all risks associated in completion of the project listed in this application. Further, I hereby consent to the use of my name, photographs, motion pictures or other reproduction of myself by the Washington County Farm Bureau or its agents solely on behalf of the Washington County Farm Bureau, or successors or assigns of the Washington County Farm Bureau for any purpose whatsoever, including any advertising, trade, commercial, or art purpose and use in any publication or other advertising media, including the internet, without limitation or reservation.
