2026 Brenda Williams Memorial Scholarship Submission Form

The Brenda Williams Memorial Scholarship provides annual scholarships to young people in the performing arts. To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in a 501(c)3 nonprofit performing arts studio, academy, or university program in the Oklahoma City area. If enrollment is contingent on receipt of this scholarship, please explain that in your application.

This year, the committee will award a $1000 scholarship to one deserving applicant.

The selection committee will consider applications based on merit, financial need, and other factors. As such, all applicants must submit a completed application form, including three essay questions, and a letter of recommendation. You may also send a performing arts resume, if available.

The application form requires basic information, such as name and address, as well as a description of the applicant’s performing arts experience. Applicants should include all of their performing arts training and experience up to this point, as well as any awards or honors they have received.

The letter of recommendation should come from a performing arts professional or educator who can attest to the applicant’s dedication to the performing arts. The letter of recommendation should be uploaded using this form in the form of a PDF. Screenshots of emails from the arts professional to the applicant are also acceptable.

The current deadline for submitting applications for the 2026 Brenda Williams Memorial Scholarship is June 30, 2026. All materials should be submitted online. Award notifications will be sent approximately two weeks after the deadline.
