    Anchorage School District (ASD) Student Nutrition is seeking input from Alaska Grown producers, distributors, processors and food system partners as we work to increase the use of locally produced foods in school meals and menus. Your participation in this survey will help ASD Student Nutrition better understand how we can work together to increase the availability of Alaska Grown foods for students while supporting Alaska's agricultural economy.   • Products Available - ASD would like to get an idea of the description, potential quantities, and availability of products you could be interested in selling. This information will be useful as the school district makes plans about types of foods to focus its menus on at different times of year.   • How will the results of this survey be used?

    The results of the survey will be used to help ASD understand product availability and seasonality of locally produced foods as well as identify key areas for future relationship building, information sharing, and potential barriers for local producers. Data may be used to craft reports which inform community discussions, learning opportunities, and/or policy recommendations. Contact information in this survey may be used by ASD and its project partners to conduct further outreach to interested producers and businesses. ASD understands that any information provided about products, quantities, and pricing are estimates, and this information will not be used in price or quantity negotiations. Likewise, participation in this survey does not guarantee a contract with ASD nor will it lead to preferential treatment in bidding processes.
