About New Challengers
The Street Fighter 6 New Challengers tournament is a creator-focused team tournament where players of all skill levels are selected by coaches from the FGC to practice for and compete at the end of the week.
Joining a Team
We will select four coaches from the Street Fighter 6 community and invite them to build teams to compete. They will have a private draft where they select players who signed up to compete by filling out this form. Filling out this form does not guarantee a spot on a team, but is the first step towards being selected.
Schedule
This next installation of SF6 New Challengers will take place in mid-June. Teams will be asked to participate in two practice streams (stream one the week of June 8-12, stream two the week of June 15-17) before taking part in the tournament on June 18.
Format
The tournament on June 18 will be a team tournament following the competitive format and scoring of Street Fighter League. Players will be categorized by rank and will only play against others in their current rank category for more balanced matches. All teams will be provided a more thorough set of rules when rosters are finalized so they can prepare accordingly.
Prizing
A prize pool of $7,000 will be split between the teams with $4,000 going to first, $2,000 going to second, and $1,000 going to third and fourth place teams. Additionally, the winning team will earn a free trip to CEO, the official Capcom Pro Tour stop in Orlando, Florida, the week of August 14-16, 2026.
