Have you owned a dog before?
Puppies need their hormones to fully develop and mature. Growth plates should be closed before spayed or neutered (growth plates close around two years old). I would prefer dogs remain intact as that's what is healthiest. However, if a spay is needed, for example you already have an intact male and you are now getting a female, then an ovary sparing spay is recommend. If thats not possible a standard spay is okay. I believe that male dogs should not be neutered.
If you are interested in a female but need to spay, are you willing to go through however many heat cycles she has before the age of two (no spaying until growth plates are closed around the age of 2)
Your vet may have differing advice as far as the spay/neuter timeline. What are your beliefs as far as spaying and neutering go? do you listen to your vet or are you able to make your own decisions about the care of you dog?*
What vaccines do you plan on giving? Do you titer test your dogs?
Do you understand that these puppies will not be vaccinated. I use nosodes and recommend that puppies only get one Distemper and Parvo vaccine at 16 weeks old. A naturally raised puppy has a strong and healthy immune system. The reason for waiting till 16 weeks, is because the puppies have immunity from their mother and it doesn't run out till then.

For Rabies, you need to wait till one year old. Look for Thimerosal free rabies vaccine.
