Scholarship Qualifications & About: 

Across the country, 5.4 million young people are quietly stepping up for their families, without recognition, without resources, and without support. Caregiving Youth are children and teens who provide unpaid care for a family member living with illness, disability, or a mental health condition. They manage medications, handle household responsibilities, and offer emotional support, all while navigating school, friendships, and growing up. Most do it in silence, never knowing there is a name for what they carry or a community waiting to support them.
This scholarship was created to shine a light on every young caregiver who has kept going despite the weight they carry. This scholarship is for the delegate who sees that silence and refuses to accept it.

Scholarship Qualifications:

We are looking for a Miss Texas' Teen delegate who:

-Demonstrates a passion for advocacy, community service, or supporting underserved youth populations.

-Has experience with or a deep understanding of caregiving, family responsibility, or resilience in the face of personal challenge.

-Is committed to using her platform to create awareness and lasting change in her community.

Application Requirements

Submit a short video (3 to 5 minutes) sharing your personal connection to resilience, caregiving, or advocating for those who go unseen. Tell us your story in your own words.

-Describe one way you have taken action in your community and the impact it created.

-Share how you plan to use your platform and this scholarship to continue that work.

-Post your video to social media using the hashtag #GivingGraceScholarship and tag @GivingGraceAdvocacy
