  • Thank you for your interest the Orange County (FL) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., youth programs - Delta Academy, Delta G.E.M.S., EMBODI and Eminence. Please be sure to read the information in its entirety. The application should be completed by the parent(s)/legal guardian, unless otherwise specified.

    Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy

    The aim of the Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy is to develop adolescent girls ages 11-14 with positive attitudes towards themselves and others, and who are effective and optimistic problem solvers, that are confident about their future. The Delta Academy is one response to imperatives of the future. It is an exciting and innovative way for women of the Orange County (FL) Alumnae Chapter with a vision to turn their considerable resources and energies to developing new purpose, new skills and new leaders from the ranks of young women. The Delta Academy offers supervised and structured experiences that will help participants grow to be productive citizens with high self esteem and an appreciation for the demand of an increasingly technological society.  For questions or inquiries, please email: Deltaacademy.OCAC@gmail.com

    Dr. Jeanne L. Noble Delta GEMS Institute 

    The Delta GEMS program is designed to provide interactive lessons, activities, and opportunities for self-reflection and individual growth in young ladies ages 14-18 in grades 9-12. Through interactive sessions, youth participants will be provided with the tools that enable girls to sharpen and enhance their skills to achieve high levels of academic success; to assist girls in proper goal setting and planning for their futures high school and beyond; and to create compassionate, caring, and community minded young women by actively involving them in service learning and community service opportunities.  For questions or inquiries, please email: DeltaGEMS.OCAC@gmail.com 

     The EMBODI (Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence) program is designed to refocus the efforts of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., with the support and action of other major organizations, on the plight of African-American males. EMBODI addresses issues related to STEM education, culture, self-efficacy, leadership, physical and mental health, healthy lifestyles choices, character, ethics, relationships, college readiness, fiscal management, civic engagement and service learning. The Orange County Alumnae Chapter will continue to expand our commitment in empowering young African-American males with life skills and access to build opportunities for developing independence for success.​

    The Eminence Gala

    The Eminence Gala is the Orange County (FL) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. signature program, raising funds to benefit Central Florida high school juniors and seniors in support of their continued educational endeavors.  Since March 2006, this program has been a premiere social event to showcase students from all over Central Florida.  The program focuses on incentive awards while introducing the honorees to society, exposing them to workshop training in the areas of economic development, educational development, international awareness and involvement, physical and mental health, and political awareness and involvement.  For questions or inquiries, please email: Eminence.OCACDST@gmail.com

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Orange County (FL) Alumnae Chapter and its related entities will make every effort to protect the welfare of each youth participant; however, the program committee members are not responsible for the physical, mental, social, and medical health of the program participants. As a parent/guardian, I am responsible for the welfare of my child. The committee may suspend a student's participation if their behavior does not reflect the spirit of the program.   • Program Informational and Risk Management Overview

  • Participants and their parents/guardians will be invited to attend the program informational and risk management overview session scheduled for August 2026.  Participants shoiuld have at least one parent/guardian present to receive specific information for their program of interest and complete additional risk management forms.
