• Anaesthesia fee estimate for sleep dentistry - Medicare refund estimate

  • Sleep dentistry means you are completely asleep and unaware during your dental procedure, in the safe hands of our experienced anaesthetists

  • Your SDS quote sets out a fixed anaesthesia fee for the agreed treatment band and identifies the separate Medicare-eligible provider component. Other service components of the quote are not Medicare-claimable.

We estimate the Medicare rebate using the eligible provider component, relevant Medicare items and your Medicare Safety Net information, rather than applying a percentage to the total upfront fee. Your deposit is credited towards your quoted fee. Medicare claims can be lodged after the procedure has been performed. Estimates are indicative only; Services Australia determines actual benefits.

    • If you would like to know your eligibility, please complete this form.

The form is easy and quick (2- 4 minutes) to complete, only requiring accessing your MyGov account either on your device or computer.
