Dear Families,
To best serve our community, we utilize a waiting pool for our programs. We will notify waitlisted families as soon as a spot becomes available, or provide an update every two weeks. If you have not heard from us within a two-week period, please feel free to contact us.
When selecting children from the waiting pool, we consider the following factors:
Families
We strive to keep siblings together, either in enrollment or within the waiting pool. This is a primary reason we begin the waiting pool process before a program reaches full capacity.
Age Groups and Development
We adhere to the American Day Camp Association’s recommendations for staff-to-child ratios, though we often maintain higher ratios based on staff capacity and the specific developmental needs of the group. Our current minimum ratios are:
- Ages 4–6: 1:6
- Ages 7–9: 1:8
- Ages 10–15: 1:10
Because we prioritize the collective needs of the group and staff capacity, there may be instances where a child or family is not moved out of the waiting pool in the exact order they joined.
Holistic Decision Making
We reserve the right to prioritize specific children or siblings in special circumstances that allow us to better serve our community, such as hiring qualified staff or addressing needs that benefit the entire group.
Confidentiality
Managing the waiting pool is a professional process based on the factors above. To protect the privacy of all families, we do not share specific information regarding the ages, developmental needs, or family circumstances of other applicants. We appreciate your community-minded support in respecting and protecting each other’s privacy.
Sincerely,
Wild Rose Farm NH
