Now more than ever - emergency medicine needs bold, informed leaders. FCEP is committeed to helping you grow into the leader you are meant to be.

FCEP's Leadership Academy is a year-long program designed to empower emergency physicians with the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to thrive as leaders in our field. Through organizational education, mentorship, guided experiences, and hands-on involvement, participants gain a deeper understanding of FCEP and emergency medicine leadership.

- Career Advancement: Many past participants now serve in leadership roles at the local, state, and national levels.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Be a board-certified or board-eligible emergency physician practicing in Florida.
- Be a current FCEP member in good standing.
- Demonstrate a commitment to attending required FCEP and ACEP meetings,
- conferences, and Leadership Academy activities.
- Participate in Leadership Academy virtual leadership development sessions.
- Demonstrate an interest in leadership development and future engagement within
  emergency medicine and organized medicine in Florida.
Preference may be given to applicants who:
1. Are at least two (2) years post-residency.
2. Have demonstrated leadership experience or potential within their practice,
  institution, community, or professional organizations.
3. Have demonstrated active engagement and participation in one or more of the
  following:
  - EM Residents Association of Florida EMRAF)
  - Early Career Physicians ECP)
  - FCEP committees, task forces, or leadership initiatives
Resident Applications:

Exceptional resident applicants may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Resident applicants must:
- Be an active member of EMRAF and/or demonstrate meaningful engagement with FCEP
  activities.
- Must submit a Letter of Support from their Residency Program Director confirming their ability to participate in program activities.

Application Deadline: September 03, 2026
Application Review Period: September 4 - September 25, 2026
Participant Notifications: September 29, 2026
Program Dates: October 1, 2026 - October 24, 2027

Applications will be presented for review and approval to the FCEP Executive Committee.
