Preview: Saturday, September 5th 9:30am High Chaparral Rodeo Grounds
1. Registered and unregistered saddle horses are accepted at a minimum of 2 years of age.
2. Guest consignors’ horses will sell with members’ horses, in catalogue order.
3. All sellers will provide a halter and lead rope with each horses, but horses must be shown under saddle in the sale ring.
4. Proper western attire is to be worn while selling each horse.
5. Consignment fee: $250.
6. Pass out fee: $350.
7. Consignment form, catalogue quality picture and/or video, and payment cheques made out to Cowntown Livestock Exchange or etransfer to jill@livestock.ab.ca must be received by August 1st before the entry will be published in the catalogue. Registration papers with current transfer will be brought to the sale at check-in.
8. Substitutes will be allowed with vet release. No refunds will be given on fees paid on horses not at the sale once they have been catalogued.
9. Mandatory check-in from 3 pm on Friday, September 4th at Cowntown Livestock yards. Please bring your manifest. All horses coming from Alberta require an ‘A Form’ brand slip. Horses will be brand inspected before the preview on Friday night/Saturday morning. All consignments will be penned at Cowtown Livestock yards. Lot numbers will be posted on your pens.
10. Producers are responsible for feeding and watering of your stock.
11. A vet check is at the discretion of the seller. This will be at the seller’s expense.
12. The Ranch Country Horse Sale reserves the right to accept or refuse any entry. If an entry arrives lame or in poor condition, the consignor will be turned away and will forfeit entry fee. All decisions made by the RCHS will be final.
13. All sales are final, and care of the horse after purchase is completely the buyer’s responsibility. Insurance at the buyer’s expense and discretion is recommended.
