City of Reading CRIZ Parcel Addition Application

Background: The purpose of the CRIZ is to stimulate economic development in the City of Reading by providing financial assistance through the form of certain new taxes collected following the redevelopment of a property. The CRIZ Map is comprised of 128.8 acres in the City. On a limited basis, the CRIZ Authority will considering adding or removing parcels from the CRIZ. Parcels within the CRIZ have the ability to apply for CRIZ financial support to develop the parcel. When approved CRIZ development projects are complete and occupied, certain new taxes generated can be used to pay down the development construction debt.
