Call for Art Submission

ShenArts invites photographers to submit work for The View, an exhibition celebrating the beauty, character, and quiet moments of the Shenandoah Valley, Winchester, and the surrounding landscapes we call home.​From sweeping mountain vistas and rolling farmland to intimate city corners and shifting skies, The View explores the many ways we see and experience this place. We welcome images that capture both the grandeur and the subtlety of our region—moments of stillness, movement, light, and life that define our everyday surroundings.​This exhibition will be displayed in the atrium of Winchester Medical Center, offering a space for reflection, pause, and connection. As patients, visitors, and staff move through the space, these photographs will serve as windows into the natural beauty and familiar landscapes of our community— offering comfort, recognition, and a sense of place.​We encourage submissions that reflect a wide range of perspectives and styles, from traditional landscape photography to more conceptual or abstract interpretations of “the view.” Consider what it means to witness this region— what draws your eye, what grounds you, and what feels worth sharing.​Through The View, we aim to bring the outside in— creating a visual experience that celebrates where we live and invites others to see it anew.
