Chamber, Prelude & Vivace Auditions 2026
Auditions for both Orange and Westport will be held at SMSW on June 5th from 2:30PM-6:30PM. Please discuss this with your teacher before signing up for an audition time.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

Chamber
- Students should prepare a scale of their choice (two octaves if below book 4; three octaves if book 4 and above), a piece of their choice and be prepared for sight reading.
- Our chamber music program is open to all students who are in Suzuki Book 3 and above who have strong reading skills.
Prelude
- Students should prepare a three octave scale of their choice, a piece of their choice and be prepared for sight reading.
- This ensemble is open to students who are in 5th grade or above, all students should be a minumum of Book 5+ level.
Vivace
- Students should prepare a three octave scale of their choice (violin - not G major; viola and cello - not C major), a piece of their choice and be prepared for sight reading.
- This ensemble is open to students in 8th grade or high school who should be working on standard classical string literature or a minimum of Suzuki Book 8+ level.
