Join NAMI NYS’s Lunch and Learn series—a monthly webinar designed to help advocates better understand key mental health policy issues.
This month's Lunch and Learn is on Rural Minds. Rural communities in New York face unique challenges in accessing behavioral health care. These challenges
often include shortages of mental health professionals, longer travel distances to providers, limited transportation options, and fewer crisis and specialty services. As a result, residents of rural areas may experience delays in receiving care and fewer opportunities for ongoing treatment and support.
Rural Minds hub offers practical mental health resources, conversation tools, and real-world support tailored to the unique pressures of farming and rural life. Created for farmers, ranchers, and agricultural communities, this free program is designed to strengthen resilience, reduce stigma, and help save lives.
Bring your lunch, your questions, and your perspective.
