Overview: This vibrant community celebration highlights the rich culture, creativity, and artistic voices of our region. Artists of all backgrounds and mediums are invited to participate in this special exhibit centered onthe theme Art, Culture, and Landscape in Spanish-Speaking Countries
EXHIBIT THEME: “Art, Culture, and Landscape in Spanish-Speaking Countries” Create artwork inspired by the landscapes, traditions, customs, souvenirs, and culture of a Spanish-speaking country of your choice from the following options: Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Chile, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Spain, U.S.A., Uruguay, or Venezuela.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: Open to young artists 9 - 17 years of age.
ACCEPTABLE ARTWORK: Limit of 3 works per artist may be submitted. Artwork may be 2D (art to be hung) or 3D (to be displayed on pedestals). All submitted hanging artworks need to be no more than 70 inches wide and 70 inches tall (including the frame) and weigh less than 50 lbs. Artwork to be hung must be prepared for hanging with an appropriate weight for a wire-hanging system.
SALES: Sales are encouraged, although artists may display works that are not for sale. Such works should be accompanied by a note indicating NFS. Artists will keep 100% of their sales.
AWARDS:
Grades 1–5 will have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner.
Grades 6–12 will have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner.
