    Experience the art of stage combat in this dynamic one-night masterclass, led by local actress and artist Carrie Brewer. Designed for adults, this workshop focuses on the foundations of hand-to-hand stage combat, offering practical skills for creatives and actors eager to expand their performance repertoire.

    Participants will learn essential techniques for safe and convincing stage fights, explore industry best practices, and discover how to approach stage combat confidently in the rehearsal room. Whether you’re new to stage combat or looking to sharpen your skills, this class provides valuable insights into movement, safety, and storytelling through physical action.

    About the Instructor:

    Carrie has worked as a fight choreographer and stage combat teacher in NY, LA, and Nashville for over 25 years. She had the privilege of teaching stage combat at AMDA New York and AMDA LA for a total of 12 years and has also taught at the Yale School of Drama, NYU, Broadway Classroom, the Open Jar Institute, and here in Nashville for TPAC Education. Favorite choreography credits include: A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Classic Stage Co. (with Bebe Neuwirth and Christina Ricci), POTUS with Nashville Rep, Macbeth and Romeo & Juliet with the Nashville Shakespeare Festival, and Deathtrap at Studio Tenn.
