The Washington Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (WASLA) is issuing a Call for Walking Tour Proposals for the 2026 Field Day celebrating the University of Washington and the U District in Seattle.
Field Day will be held Friday, August 14th from approximately 8:30am - 5:00pm. Schedule is subject to change.
Seattle’s University District (U District) is a vibrant, walkable neighborhood blending academic energy, independent businesses, and cultural heritage. Landscape architecture at the UW and in the U District plays a key role in preserving its historic landscapes, enhancing public spaces, and supporting sustainable growth.
Deadline: Friday, June 26th, 2026 at 5:00 PM PDT
Session Details:
- Length: 60 - 75 minutes
- Tour should be within walking distance of Oak Hall on the UW Campus
- Tour should focus on the landscape architecture of UW and the U District
Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System (LA CES):
WASLA is an approved LA CES provider. We will assist presenters in meeting LA CES requirements and registering sessions on the national database.
